Cancer sucks

Cancer is such a mysterious monster to me. It seems to lurk in the shadows of peoples' lives and pounce at the most inopportune moments. It seems it is always someone else until it strikes in your family. My dear Nana (aunt and Godmother) was diagnosed with stage four kidney cancer after only 3 weeks of symptoms. She is so young, so beautiful, so youthful, so healthy and so NOT supposed to be a cancer patient. I still cannot believe it. She is currently at MD Anderson recovering from surgery. The surgery went as well as could be expected, and they successfully removed the cancerous kidney and numerous lymph nodes. I am so thankful she is stable and recovering well. Please lift her up in your prayers as she is entering the next phase of treatment in the months to come...

Haley...I'm thinking of y'all and praying for all of you! If there is one thing I'm sure of...it's that god has a plan and somehow some way we have to have faith that it's the best one. Love y'all!
