Ballerina

Madeline started ballet Monday and she loved it! Parker and I got to watch the first lesson and that was so cool...except for that Parker was with me and was expected to sit quietly on floor for 45 minutes while 15 little girls got to dance to music in front of him. He was good though surprisingly and bobbed his head to the music. He even practiced his bunny hop :) Madeline was the star student, trying her best and listening to her teachers and kept looking to me with her thumb up when she got something right. She took them literally when they said to stand on their dot (sticker on floor) and she was wiggling and balancing so as not to move off her dot in first position. It was funny and cute until I noticed she was embarrassed because she couldn't balance right on top of it...then my heart was breaking and I wanted to run up to her and hug her and explain she just had to stand near the penny sized dot.  I have been teaching her positions and moves since she was two so she knew some words, like passe and chasse and of course was proud and thrilled. It was hard not to cry. She is this little girl just like I was...she even looks just like me in a leotard, tights and bun. ugh. Ok  enough...pregnant lady getting emotional over here.
