We are having a great, crude-free, vacation! The beaches are as gorgeous as ever and we have seen not one drop of tar or oil. It is funny because if you only watch the news, you would think this place is covered in the goo and that the air is tainted and causing nausea...um no. From what we are hearing here, Pensacola (to our east) has received "some tarballs" and Dauphin island (to our west) has received some spotty oil patches on sand and some tarballs as well. There are no hazmat workers walking around here with white suits, nor have we seen any oil tainted sea life washing ashore. Just beautiful, white sand and blue-green water and clear skies as far as you can see. The media is a sneaky beast.
