Well, the much feared oil arrived our last day at the beach. It was so strange because the day before there was not one spec and in the morning the beach was covered. It was small beads of black oil that smeared when touched. It dotted the beach and floated in the surf...such a shame.
You could not walk along the shore or in the water because the oil would stick to you and smear all over when you tried to clean it off. So, building a sand castle proved to be impossible that day- Mad was disappointed but our resort had fantastic kid-friendly pools that we really enjoyed :) All in all a wonderful vacation with family that we will always remember!

Man I was just telling a good friend of mine that my "blogger friend" said it was so nice with the earlier post- her family is leaving Gulf Shores Sat. Oh well I guess they will see it when they get there. yay for swimming pools :-)
