Well, this past week was a real bummer. Lots of losin' around these parts. Let me preface this by saying that these are not real terrible problems, just bumps in the road all piled up together.
First off, Donnie has been sick for like forever it seems like. He found out Thursday he had Strep and Mono, followed by Ev getting the stomach virus Friday with an ear infection. Sat. night the dang LSU Vs Alabama game happened. That's all I am going to say about that!
Then just when he and Ev were feeling better, Donnie and I got the stomach virus and were wiped out Sun. and Monday. Thank the good Lord above that both of our parents are in town and could swoop in and care for our three little ones.
Then we found out that our wind and hail policy was skyrocketing in premium cost, so we had to cancel insurance policies, find new policies, fight with escrow people at the mortgage company to pay for said new policies and PUT A WHOLE NEW ROOF on this house by this Friday.
Wow. Fun times. Anyone price a roof these days?! Let's just say I would have rather poke my eyes out...well not really, but close. And finally, to round out the week of bummers, Obama was re-elected. When it rains it pours! Thank goodness we'll have a brand spankin' new roof over our heads to keep us dry. It's all good though, it's life, it could be way worse and I'm thankful this is all I have to complain about :) Peace out.

Not sure what the purpose is of all those challenges being sent at once. I guess we are supposed to be learning something. Sometimes I feel like I ought to earn a doctorate. Hope things are looking up.
