I read a great post this morning on http://www.catholicmothersonline.com/ on how comparison kills contentment. So true! In our world of Facebook and Twitter and the omnipresent media beast that is, it is so hard to be happy with what you have and to just be content with your life. Fortunately I am pretty good at accepting, but it is so hard! There are always those with better bodies, better houses, more money, better behaved kids and seemingly better home lives...etc. But I know all comes at a price. No one has everything and appearances are so deceiving! So here's to accepting the lives God has given us and not getting caught up in placing too much value on money and materialistic possessions.
Hebrews 13:5
Keep your life free from love of money, and be content with what you have, for he has said, ”I will never leave you nor forsake you.”
Luke 12:15
And he said to them, “Take care, and be on your guard against all covetousness, for one’s life does not consist in the abundance of his possessions.”

You're so right! It's so easy to be focused on "things" that are material rather than eternal. I read a thought a few months ago about jealousy that I never considered: Just because I'm envious that some one may be more happy, rich, skinny, etc - doesn't mean there's more for me. Happiness is infinite (as is our Father's love) - enough for everyone!
I had no idea you were a blogger as well! I'm so glad I ran across your space on here! And happy I can put a face behind the shop now! :)
Amen Sista!!!! I loved that post on Catholic Mothers Online!!! It really puts things into perspective!
