**Disclaimer: This post is my opinion only and I do not pass judgement on anyone who brings their children here or who shops here! I am just a conservative southern lady who has a certain idea of what is ok for our young daughters. There, now I feel better.
So this morning I had the "pleasure" of bringing my 5-year-old to a classmate's birthday party at Club
Trashy Tabby. I was reluctant because I have never even stepped foot in that store, but I had a good idea of what to expect. Madeline
begged me to go to this party and missed the last party at Da Club so I brought her...with little brothers in tow. Fun-right?
At first she was shy and did not want to dress up and get made up like a
street walker rock star or glamour girl. She chose a sweet princess dress to wear and avoided the make up area. (Thank God she did not choose the black fish net catsuit...yes I am serious) Well she eded up getting a princess makeover, which oddly enough consisted of tons of hair gel, green and purple sparkle hair spray paint, hot pink eyeshadow, red lipstick, purple and red sparkle nail polish and a tiara. The tiara part was fine.
I was not about to ruin her fun party time so I kept my mouth shut. I am pretty sure my feelings were visible by my facial expression alone. On to the "catwalk" portion of the party...
The girls walked the runway and posed for the crowd with workers yelling work it girl...I was wondering where the pole was... And never mind the club lights and club rap-mix blaring on the stereo....wait a minute right there. I listened to the words that were on the current song..."eenie meenie miney moe cath a fat chick by the toe..."
WTF!???
That's all I have to say about that. We won't be back. Ever.

WOOOOOOOOOOAAAAAAHHHHH... THAT IS NO BUENO. HOW SAD THAT THEY DO THAT!
That's just a sad commentary on how desensitized our culture has become.I had no idea exactly what they did there. That's just sad.
Thank you for posting this. Sometimes I chalk my strong conservative opinions up to being an older mom. I'm so glad my young compadres share similar feelings.
I just saw picture of my friends child who got a princess makeover at Disney at the Bippety Boppety Bootique. Too bad there's something like that which could be available to our little girls here.
So glad someone thinks like me. So sorry you had to endure it.
I totally agree! Our little ladies should act like little ladies. It's all about setting a good example for our daughters. This place is not "ok" even if it was just for fun.
