That is the question. We are contemplating a trip to Disney World...I know how insane it sounds, believe me. There are several pros of going when the kids are these ages, including: price, immobility of the bambino, love for all things Disney, ability to travel regardless of school schedules, priceless memories, magical experiences...Cons are the obvious: meltdowns, whining, traveling with a baby, stroller wrangling, unexpected poop and possibly vomit, interrupted nap times...you get the picture.
Thankfully, my kids are great travelers and pretty adaptable when it comes to naps...otherwise we would not even consider this. But no child is perfect, let's face it. We regularly hop in the car to go out of town for the day...but this is far and involves a plane.
We have a plan as to conquering the parks: Keep it simple! They don't know what they don't miss! We also would be staying on site, so we would go back to hotel if things get harry... I am scared, but intrigued. Hmmmm... Any thoughts on this would be greatly appreciated :)

I would book a trip with my family just to go watch Madeline see Disney for the first time!!!!!
I say go. You know you'll go again later for the little ones! (You must take serious notes, though.)
We went last April with Jonathan's family. Actually, Jonathans brother, Andrew, planned the trip for his twin girls and we had vacation so we just went along for the ride. The twins were 1 month shy of 3 and had a great time at character meals, taking pics with characters, at the Magic Kingdom visiting Mickey and MInnie's house, etc. The rides were hit or miss with them. Most of the disney stories have a dark side, which always seemed to scare them. Also, most of the kid rides in Fantasyland are indoors, therefore, they are dark so that made them cry during the rides. It didn't seem to effect Emma bc she was too young at that point to be scared of the dark. There are a couple of rides like Dumbo (outside), the Carousel, etc that we all rode on and loved. All in all, I think you will have a great time as long as you have somewhat of a plan, but do not care if the plan falls through! I love Disney and it is very fun! I can email you the agenda we sort of followed! Send me your email address!
