Madeline got a painting from Aunt Erin for her birthday. It is of her favorite animals. She has always loved zebras, so when we moved here, she said she wanted her room to be Barbies and zebras...hmmm. Although Erin was going to paint a safari Barbie in the background, she opted out (thank you E). I am extremely spoiled to only have original artwork in my house, I know. Our house is an Erin Barker art gallery, with exception to the one beautiful Cathy Terrio original I was given for a wedding gift. Once you have original paintings, it just makes prints feel so...wrong.

What a luxury. The zebras are precious.
I recently told my husband that once we complete all the updates to our home, then we need to start replacing our artwork with originals. We have some but would love more.
